sista

I had a great time visiting with my baby sister today!  Much needed laughter and a dose of the Matthews’ (maiden name) randomness.

tiff-coolness

She’s gorgeous . . . I like to think we look alike. :)

And then there’s Aidrik . . . he’s 2 years old in June!  2!

Anyhoo . . . it was a blast having them up!  Thanks for making the drive, Tiff!

Wonder Dog

Sometimes my dog irritates the living day lights out of me.

Byron light

Sometimes I can’t imagine how life functioned for me before his constant stares and chronic happiness.

blown-out-stretch

Sometimes I run 5 miles and wonder why he never slows, never breaths hard and I’m dieing . . . even though he hasn’t had a lick of exercise in a month . . . except for the potty outings . . . gotta love winter time.

blurry-byron

Sometimes I thank God, literally, for a dog that doesn’t nip, isn’t possessive, territorial, was created without a mean bone in his body, doesn’t get into the trash, and all the above.

byron-dreaming

Just paying homage to wonder-dog, Byron.  He has truly grown on me . . . since the first few years of puppy-hood and teen-dog-hood.  He’s four years old now. :)

17 Months

Thats the age difference of my two boys.  17 months apart.

I guess, since Tobias was so jealous of the new baby and then Sam was too little to play with for so long . . . that I just assumed that they would not be best of buds.  I still have doubts at times.  ;)

But as they age, the more they play together . . .

tucker-brothers

. . . and read together.

Samuel has a love, a deep abiding love, for books.  Anytime I sit down, he’s in my lap with a book . . . literally.

Tobias has figured this out and loves to tell little bro what the pictures are and what the book is about . . . whether he knows or not.

I caught them cuddled in the giant red Ronald Mcdonald chair this past week and couldn’t resist . . . pj’s and all.

togetherness

Thats the Sesame Street book of stories that I thought they wouldn’t be really into until later . . . many many words.  But they lover it and I read it . . . a lot. Sometimes I paraphrase . . . don’t tell the boys. :)

sweet

I think they are both telling the story here.  Too cute!

I take a lot of photos . . . thats cuz I have a crappy memory that short circuits sometimes . . . I don’t want to forget the struggles and joys of this era of our lives.  I pray I learn from it and leave bitterness behind.  You can become better or bitter . . . my mom used to tell me that all the time. :)

God Bless!!

Jack in Action

I have my moments, my days, and sometimes even a full week, that I don’t care much for the dog we chose to buy over 3 years ago.  He’s quirky, hyper (understatement) and kinda needy . . . like a kid but with hair and poop and pee . . . ok, maybe hair all over his body, that he consistently sprinkles all over my floor (couch, chairs, beds, cars, etc) is the only difference.  And he’s of the canine species . . . my kids aren’t. :)

But, over the years he has wormed his psychotic self into my dark and brittle heart.  So I’m finding I have more moments, days, and sometimes even a full week that I like that Byron is a intricate part of our daily lives.

And he is the sole reason we pay visits to the expansive dog park at Minto-Brown Park.  He loves it, we love it, the kiddos love it and everyone goes home happy . . . and tired. :)

Did I mention he has springs in his back legs.  He does, quite literally . . . we had them inserted as a pup, they automatically grew with his body.

Just Kidding.  Its all natural ability . . . “born with it”, as they say. :)

Wow, if I wasn’t annoyed, I would be impressed. :)

So, jumping (springing) is one, among many, activities that Byron Tucker loves to perform.

Running is his favorite of all time!  He can run and run and run and run . . . forever, I’m pretty sure.  He’s at his best when Justin is play-chasing with him.  As if he’d ever catch him.  I think he might believe, somewhere deep down, that he’s part Greyhound race-dog.

And he’s off!!

Nothin’ but backside!

Ope, here he comes!

Just a streak . . .

Aaannd, there he goes again!

Another favorite of the crazy species of Byron is fetch. This game can last hours on end and once you start . . . beware you are roped in long term.

The eldest spawn has located a chunk of a stick . . .

You’ll have to excuse the fuzziness of some these pics . . . a few of them are cropped way down . . . since the group of males were walking quite a bit in front of me (and I was walking while taking pictures . . . one eye on the digital screen and one eye on Samuel, since he was my responsibility while at the dog park).   Anyway . . . there goes Tobias with his treasure of a stick . . . proud he was!

At some point he chucked it . . . Byron located and retrieved it . . . and is now bringing it back . . .

Aaahh, and the hawt hubby relents and throws it again . . . starting the unending game of fetch.

Eventually he gets tired. I think our average stay at the dog park is about an hour . . . maybe a tiny bit longer.  If kiddos weren’t involved the trips would last longer but they get tired . . . and so do we. :)

After a trip to the dog park

And, occasionally (rarely), we get hot from the early summer sun. Um, this doesn’t happen often.  Poor Samuel turns beat red, immediately, in the heat . . . even before he’s sweating, he’s red in his face. Makes him look so much hotter than he is.

He’ll sleep good tonight!

Here’s to Byron!

God Bless!

Time

The time thingy majig on my wordpress blog is screwed up and I, in my ultra limited computer experience, have yet to figure out how to correct it.  I’ve changed it but it still reflects the wrong time of day.

So, take my word for it, its getting late here in the Tucker house.  Hubby Tucker is on shift and won’t be home til late tomorrow afternoon, hopefully.

I’ve been putting together a photo book and have yet to fully conclude that it is the best option for me.  I almost miss buying albums and shoving photo prints in them just to take up time that I should be doing laundry or scrubbing toilets . . . something, the scrubbing bit, I should do more of.

I think, actually, its taking me more time to put these virtual photo albums together to pay someone else to print them, and mail them.  Hmmm.  Food for thought. Now if I went back, got together the prints I wanted and went in search of a pretty little photo album, it would be double the time! Aaack!

Who cares . . . time is something I have a tiny bit of right now anyway; in general.  Decisions decisions.

So, off to bed I go.  Up bright and early with the tots . . . and the neighbors, but mostly the tots. Oh, to clarify, sorry . . . I have upstairs neighbors in this apartment complex . . . yeah, thats all I’m gonna say about that.

Ok, nighty night!

God Bless!

My Tots are morning people . . . I don’t smile like that until I’ve drained half the coffee pot.

Good Day . . .

. . . from Tuckerville.

Justin pulled shift yesterday and is still at school attending classes.  He is suppose to be home around 4-ish . . . but tired he is and I’m sure he’ll crash, hopefully reaching, either, the bed or the couch prior to passing out. :)

Kiddos have a mild cold but I’m not complaining.  It seems its been a rough winter for folks with kids this year . . . all the illness and stuff.

I’m enjoying being able to leave my sliding glass door open for the fresh air to come in my house.  Thats one of the top reasons I dislike cold weather, it gets so stuffy with closed windows and heaters running.

My plants outside . . . the very few that I have . . . are blooming. :) I love spring! Hopefully I can get some seeds started here very very soon. I think some vines would be nice, considering they are residing on a lattice railing, it would look nice growing down perhaps. :) Any ideas of a good vine with pretty flowers . . . majority sun-worshiping . . . let me know!!

I have some good coffee in my possession at this moment . . . thanks to some dear friends of ours that know me a little too well. :) Mmm mmm, good stuff!! I think I’ve had like 6 cups today . . . hee hee. :)

Well, here’s some pics cuz I’m outta words for now. I love flowers. If you ever think of me . . . get me flowers. :) haa haa.

Oh, so tiny white flowers.  Not so much in focus, but I don’t care . . . captures the subtle beauty just fine! :) And the sun! :)

Played with the effects on this one quite a bit but its fun and bright. :)

Nope, not an old country fence (you would see sky if that was the case) just my downstairs patio railing . . . note the ceiling above. :) But how quaint a flower! Love it! Good thing I love it . . . I might be the only one. :) hee hee

Light makes a photo . . . thats my personal, have no idea what I’m talking about, opinion . . . caught this one just right, in my naive opinion. :)

Hey, just a slight celebration of spring in Tuckerville! I hope you all had a great weekend and your week has started off positively grand.

God Bless!!
