Good Day . . .
April 28, 2008
. . . from Tuckerville.
Justin pulled shift yesterday and is still at school attending classes. He is suppose to be home around 4-ish . . . but tired he is and I’m sure he’ll crash, hopefully reaching, either, the bed or the couch prior to passing out.
Kiddos have a mild cold but I’m not complaining. It seems its been a rough winter for folks with kids this year . . . all the illness and stuff.
I’m enjoying being able to leave my sliding glass door open for the fresh air to come in my house. Thats one of the top reasons I dislike cold weather, it gets so stuffy with closed windows and heaters running.
My plants outside . . . the very few that I have . . . are blooming.
I love spring! Hopefully I can get some seeds started here very very soon. I think some vines would be nice, considering they are residing on a lattice railing, it would look nice growing down perhaps.
Any ideas of a good vine with pretty flowers . . . majority sun-worshiping . . . let me know!!
I have some good coffee in my possession at this moment . . . thanks to some dear friends of ours that know me a little too well.
Mmm mmm, good stuff!! I think I’ve had like 6 cups today . . . hee hee.
Well, here’s some pics cuz I’m outta words for now. I love flowers. If you ever think of me . . . get me flowers.
haa haa.

Oh, so tiny white flowers. Not so much in focus, but I don’t care . . . captures the subtle beauty just fine!
And the sun!

Played with the effects on this one quite a bit but its fun and bright.

Nope, not an old country fence (you would see sky if that was the case) just my downstairs patio railing . . . note the ceiling above.
But how quaint a flower! Love it! Good thing I love it . . . I might be the only one.
hee hee

Light makes a photo . . . thats my personal, have no idea what I’m talking about, opinion . . . caught this one just right, in my naive opinion.
Hey, just a slight celebration of spring in Tuckerville! I hope you all had a great weekend and your week has started off positively grand.
God Bless!!

#22
I don’t know if you do this on purpose or if its just something built in since childhood, but you will buy me presents, do beautifully thoughtful things for me, take me out, go for drives, and just plain be wonderfully considerate . . . . but rarely will this happen on a marked day, holiday or event. I will come directly out of the blue and unforeseen. If I expect it in any way I can almost guarantee it will not be . .
. but the many times a gigantic bouquet of flowers has graced my dining room table its been for no apparent reason; other than you love me.
So that is number 22 on this goofy countdown . . . your thoughtfulness, no matter how random, does not go unnoticed but it is appreciated and I love that about you!!
One of the millions of flowers my loving hubby has purchased me over the years. I just happened to capture this one on a memory card. There was no reason for this particular bouquet, as usual. ![]()
Sunrays
February 18, 2008
Warmth, that sums up the last few days around these here parts. I live in the northern Willamette Valley of Oregon . . . warm enough through the winter we don’t get snow (rarely) but we deal with cold (15-35 degrees) and rainy days. The much needed break has come . . . signs spring is slowly taking over winter’s position as weather-master. Winter is stubborn and will speak up a few more times before moving on, I’m sure; but the break of sun and warm temperatures has been altogether refreshing. I look forward to fresh growth on trees and in flower beds and long stints outside, hiking, walking, jogging, playground shenanigans and more! Maybe I’ll finally drop that last 25 lbs or so.
Oh yeah and to shed the thick winter coat for good! . . . well, until next year anyway.
I hear my boys waking from nap time slumber so I’m going for now.
God Bless!
Well, this is more of summertime moment . . . but you get my general drift.
Byron and Tobias . . . Best friends.
winter sucks
January 23, 2008
Me want spring!! The flowers! The sun! (ok, we got sun) The warmth that we all associate with the sun! The green on the trees! I’ve been seed shopping so I’m feeling the weight (or wait) of winter more so than normal. Yes, I plant my flowers from seed, doesn’t everyone?
I went walking at 3pm today, 3PM; there was still ice on the mud puddles. Ice.
I have a feeling there will be a few more frost warnings before planting time. But in the meantime I found a cool site you can pick the seeds that go in your wildflower mix . . . yeah, I’m a sucker for the wildflowers!
below is the remnants of my wildflower bed last fall. I cried when we moved and I had to say goodbye to it . . . pathetic, I know . . . no reason for name-calling. geez.
